Materials and craft
What steel do you use?
Our knives use layered Damascus steel. The Tanto Titan and Crimson Fang are forged from 200+ layers and heat treated to about 58–60 HRC. The Lapis X knives use 300-layer Damascus. Each product page lists the details for that knife.
What are the handles made of?
It depends on the knife. We use Micarta, pine cone resin, ram horn, camel bone, and rosewood. The handle material is listed on every product page.
Why does my knife look different from the photo?
Damascus steel is folded and etched, so every blade has its own pattern. Natural handle materials like horn, bone, wood, and pine cone also vary. Photos show the design, not the exact piece you receive.
How do I care for a Damascus blade?
- Hand wash and dry right after use.
- Oil the blade lightly now and then. Food-safe mineral oil works well.
- Store it dry, in its sheath or on a stand.
- Never put it in a dishwasher.
- Do not store it in a leather sheath while wet.
Do I need to sharpen it?
Yes, like any knife. Regular sharpening keeps the edge in top shape, especially with heavy outdoor use. A whetstone or guided sharpener works well.
Orders and delivery
How long does shipping take?
Orders are dispatched within 2–5 business days. US delivery usually takes up to 5 business days after dispatch, so allow about 7–10 business days in total. See our Shipping Policy.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on all US orders. No minimum order and no code needed.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, to many countries. International shipping charges are shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes are set by your country and are paid by the customer. Some countries restrict bladed items, so please check your local rules before ordering.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. You must be 18 or older to buy from ForgeXTools.
Returns and warranty
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your item. It must be unused and in its original packaging. Sale items and custom orders cannot be returned. Email us first to start a return. See our Return and Refund Policy.
Do your knives have a warranty?
Yes. Every ForgeXTools knife comes with a 30-day limited warranty from the date of delivery.
It covers: defects in materials and workmanship, such as a cracked handle, loose handle scales, or a flaw in the steel under normal use.
It does not cover:
- Normal wear, including edge dulling and scratches
- Rust or corrosion from poor care or storage
- Damage from misuse, such as prying, throwing, or striking hard objects
- Damage from sharpening, modifications, or repairs by others
- Loss or theft
- Natural variation in Damascus patterns or handle materials
What we do: if your knife has a covered defect, we will repair it, replace it, or refund it. We choose the best option based on the issue and stock.
How to claim: email info@forgextools.net within 30 days of delivery with your order number, a short description, and clear photos of the problem. Please do not send the knife back until we reply.

Sometimes, during selected campaigns and seasons. Email us to ask what is available.
